Week 4 run 1 apprehensive start but really proud I did it but I'm not doing this alone and my hubby needs some credit as he spurs me on xxx

The thing I love about this forum is that any pride you feel in yourself is equally matched - it not surpassed - by the wonderful folk on here who are genuinely pleased for you too! Having the support of your hubby is great - but it's still you who has to put your trainers on when you've had a tough day and get out there. My hubby is the same. Very supportive and encouraging - but when I run out the door, he's still sitting on the sofa. Give yourself the credit you deserve and have earned x

Ha! That would never happen in this house - although I actually prefer running on my own. I'm very slow so, albeit unintentionally, I inevitably end up running faster if I run with someone else and then end up having to stop. I quite like that time alone, listening to my music.

Good for you but I think at this present moment I would give in a bit too easily if I was on my own and it's also something else we can enjoy together xxx

Of course - we're all different! My hubby has compromised lung function so running is something he is not allowed to do - although a bit more walking wouldn't do him any harm!!!!!

I am about 10 lb off my goal weight with slimming world so the running was my way to achieve both goals fitness and my ideal weight did not think I could run Iv had my hips replaced twice since I was 39 and the furst attempt at running did not work xxx

Joolz66 how have you found SW and C25K work together? I'm about 3-4 stone overweight. I've lost a stone since March just from exercise and eating a bit more healthily but I want to shift more. I've so far resisted SW, largely because I don't have the money, but also because I'm worried that I would find the intense workouts I tend to put myself through difficult if I was "properly" on a diet. Some high protein, high energy foods - like nuts - are high in calories. I'm also veggie so I need to get protein from sources other than meat. I'd really value your opinion on this one!

Well done Joolz! Awesome, be proud of yourself 🙂

Well done on doing it and I love the idea of hubby support, although that is in principle as I'd hate the idea of running with mine, as I prefer the me time this makes me very selfish, but I love it. We all do what we have to do to get out there. Keep going you're doing brilliantly
