Small achievement- but achievement nonetheless

I know there are loads of you who have achieved this, but after a heavy cold this weekend I was so pleased to achieve week 2 run 1 today. Go everyone, wherever you are on the programme. I feel more positive about this than I have in sometime. Even if the running is veeeerrrry slow.

What a brilliant positive up beat post. Has made my day. Go you. Look forward to seeing your graduation post because you will definitely get there.

Achievements are relative - only when you realise your achievements can you move on to the next achievement. You may think this is a small achievement but I don't. Those first few weeks are the hardest - before your running because a habit and before you start to breathe without thinking and your legs become stronger. I think it's a huge achievement - I've never been healthier than since I started this programme but I also know that if I caught a cold I probably wallow in self pity and give myself a week off - so well done!

Thank you so much, and you're right, I did wallow over the weekend (but pulled myself together now!). It's great to hear that you feel healthier than ever, that's what I aspire to.

Not only do I feel it, so many people have commented on how clear my skin looks and how my eyes are so bright. Better than all the money I used to waste on posh moisturisers!

Ellie this is fab, you have done so well and think back to your very first post... now you're a Week 2 veteran! And furthermore you have had grit to go out even when not at 100%. What does that say about you? That you're a committed runner, that's what... Brilliant

Oh, thank you so much. I gave up the ghost today as my cold came back, but tomorrow I'll be out again all being well. How did you get on?

Done it, I have no excuses not to, no bad weather, no cold/illness.... so when Mr Smooth asks me out for our date, I just shrug and put on my trainers. But thanks for asking today was the 20 minute continuous run, so that felt like I'd really moved on. But you'll follow to be sure. Brilliantly done you.

That's really impressive - I call that a runner. I've abandoned Sarah for Sanjeev, very smooth too.

Sometimes the coach either works for you or doesn't. I liked Mr Smooth right from day one, but that frankly was a lucky punt. I couldn't think of running without him now

Might give him a try tomorrow!

Oh you could be coming a running Floosie, looking for one after the other..... ;) in fact for me it makes a big difference, I like Mr Smooth's voice and he just hits the right vibe for me. I think it's like the guys here - some prefer music others prefer silence. It's just finding the thing that does it for you. I am happy to share Mr Smooth, but he isn't always faithful to just one or two of us....

Wonderful- you have a way with words. Love it. Perhaps I should change my user name too

Oh don't change to RunningFloosie, what would people think?
