So at the grand old age of 35 I'm getting ready to exercise for the first time. Ever. This is fairly terrifying. 😬

35! You're a baby hereabouts! Good luck. Just go very slowly and you'll be ok. No need for speed!!!!!!!

By the way it's not terrifying. It's fun! Walks with a slow jog thrown in now and again. Ok it does get very gradually less walking a more jogging but not yet. One run at a time

I feel ya, I am a bit older and overweight, its not easy, but I am motivated. I just wish I enjoyed the 'run' as much as I do the feeling afterwards

I'm 53 and even if I lost four stones I would still be overweight. I run with the equivalent of a small person clinging to my body. Getting started was the hardest thing but start I did and I'm just one run away from completing couch to 5k. Do you know what? I'm now loving the runs. I think it's because I can actually do it and don't need to walk! Woo hoo! 😊

Now you have made the decision to do this, keep at it. You will surprise yourself at what you can (and will) achieve. keep posting on here for advice and motivation. Everyone on here is lovely! One of the great things about this program is you get to decide. What time to run, where, what to wear, when to move on, what to listen to on your headphones... I have found that I love being in control of this when other aspects of life and work you just don't get to always make choices. Good luck!

35 and just starting, hey you started with so much of your life ahead of you and linked into to this fab community. Don't prevaricate, put on your running shoes, choose your coach and just do it. You'll see from here that theres not one of us who won't support you

35 - so young. I started for the first time at 56 - 5 years later still going, so it is definitely achievable. Good Luck

You can do it, don't be worried.

I was in your position 9 weeks ago, and this morning I graduated.

Do it at your own pace, don't rush yourself. Listen to the podcasts and take your rest days!

Let us know how you get on! You will be absolutely fine πŸ˜‰
