I did this run last week and just as everybody has said you will be fine. I actually preferred running without stopping as I found I could get going and relax into it. Good luck.
Had you ever run eight minutes twice with just a walking interval between?
You are so nearly there.....the step up is not actually very large.
This is about belief. Runners have to have belief.
I say YOU CAN DO IT!!
I'm got this to do next week so let us know how you get on. Good luck!
Thank you so much for your supportive comments, you're right IannodaTruffe I've come so far already, I'm sure I'll smash it, and so will you PaulaHud46 next week. Good luck to you too!
I suffer from shin splints due to an old injury. I now run on a treadmill as well as outdoors. My biggest tip is to make sure you're not running on a really bad camber - as someone prone to shin splints, the uneven running forced upon you by a bad camber is the one thing, above all else, that will force me to the IC!!! As for the actual run itself, don't worry about it - you are perfectly capable of achieving it. Weirdly, it's when you start week 6 - and W6R1 should be easier than W5R3 - that it seems hard!
