I've seen this video a few times. I don't mind admitting that it brings a tear to my eyes every time. What an achievement.
Worth a watch right through.

Brilliant. I've seen this before, too and it is a great example of just what can be achieved through willpower and determination.
Good video, not really knowing anything about yoga, I saw him with the crutches and thought well 'that's not so hard, but then when you watch it all, it seemed he basically had to relearn 100% like a baby. Hard to imagine losing 140 pounds but I think his cat put on some of them pounds. The quote at the end is very apt for runners too.
I watched it loads of times after I destroyed my big toe joint in a training accident. Completely caved it in. It meant I couldn't walk properly and because of the messed up biomechanics, it wasn't long before my leg and hip were giving me bother too.
Nothing as bad as the poor chap in the video though, and he got there.
My toe joint is still completely the wrong shape, but through carefully selected exercise and persistence, I can do most things without pain now, including running and martial arts.
Amazing. What a brilliant transformation. Irish-John would find this interesting as he was told the same thing. and look at him now 🏃🏃🏃
