I attempted W7R2 on Sunday morning bright and early with a run on the beach with hubby (who's in much better shape than me). Technically it was a fail, my first one with C25K. It was blazing hot and humid even at 7 am and running on sand was ridiculous. So we walk-ran. The upside is we made it 2 miles to the state line and back so I can say my feet carried me to another state! Meanwhile my hubby had just given me a fitbit for my birthday so all in all despite the fail, I was able to see that I went 4 miles and burned over 600 calories eventhough I didn't run the whole way. AND we played tennis yesterday with our kids and I was amazed by my increased stamina and speed all due to C25K! Love the beach but miss my cool Yorkshire running routes.
UPDATE: Ran on the road this morning and walked back on the beach (after jumping in the Gulf)! It wasn't pretty but got it done. Chuffed!
