Well went out for run 2 week 3 today. It was raining so I wore my cagool (stop laughing). Had new earphones, started my podcast and off I went. I completed my first 90 run and walk (which always seem to be the hardest bit) when Laura told me to run for 3 minutes. What? Somehow the second 90 second run plus walk had been missed. So quickly back to timing on my phone. I do believe that technology and I are never going to be friends. Still I made it in the end, puffing and panting but still alive - just!

That's right though:

"For the runs in Week 3, you will begin with brisk 5-minute warm-up walk followed by 2 repetitions of the following; 90 seconds of running, 90 seconds of walking, 3 minutes of running, 3 minutes of walking."

So that means run 90sec, walk 90 sec, run 3 min, walk 3 min then repeat.

I find I need Laura to tell me how much time left and encourage me especially later on.

I know the technology problem - one of my first runs with the gorgeous Mr Smooth, I thought he'd been suspiciously quiet and i found I'd somehow pressed pause and I'd been walking for about 10 minutes....

I want an idiots app that gives me my music - not just the latest downloads (another tech problem!), with the gorgeous Mr Johnson talking over and some kind of distance monitoring.

it's bad enough trying to synch your fitness and breathing and all the other things, whilst fiddling with a phone on your arm!

I set my music playing on my iPhone then the C25k app cuts in over it with messages. So I get my own playlist- I set a running app going in the background to record distance. Not sure if that helps?

Will give it a go...

Aw it's right what they told you they alternate the runs so you do 90 secs 3 mins 90 secs 3 mins. So you hadn't done anything wrong to your app xx

Ooo ooo, sounds like the app was right after all. Did you run 90s, 90s, 3m,3m?

I did but the app was only telling me to run 1 x 90; 2 x 3.

Hi- you didn't miss it- this week we are running 90 /walking 90 then running 3 mins / waking 3 mins, then doing both again - so 90s / 3 mins 90s / 3 mins with a 5min walk to warm up and 3 min walk to cool down. Well done for making it through!! 👍🐵🏃🏻‍♀️

Yes I now realise what I've done! To be honest I seem to have been a bit flakey with it all recently. I have an under active thyroid which I suspect is due to Hashimoto's disease (my neice has just been diagnosed with it). I have been feeling really tired and suffering from vertigo plus usual aches and pains.

After reading up on it, it seems that exercise is more complex for people with Hashimoto's so I have decided that if I need extra days rest I will take them and repeat weeks if necessary. I want to complete the program but don't want to make my health worse!

It's great to get all the support on this forum. Here's to (eventually) completing the program.
