Did my first run of the week this morning...just went out with my own music again and thoughts of lannoda Truffe...
A track I had forgotten about came on halfway through which lifted the run completely and had me bounding along. Affirmation by Savage Garden.' I believe' its a good one.😊
Hi everyone. I did some time on the track yesterday for the first time. Loved it. Will do a 5k tomorrow evening after work. I am in London on Thursday for work and staying over night. I'll be bringing my running gear and taking myself out for a 5 k run around the town taking in London Bridge and some of the sights. Really looking forward to that, hope I don't get lost😂. Might stop off at a watering hole on the finish line🍻🍻. Parkrun on Saturday where I'll be aiming to break my 32 minute time barrier. The quest for a sub 30 minute 5k continues.😀
My absolute favourite 5k in London: start at the Millennium Bridge, run down towards the Tower of London, over Tower Bridge, back up the South Bank past the Globe and finish back at the Millennium Bridge again. Fab! Very busy but such an iconic run for me And I can't get lost, which is a bonus Hope you have a great time!
Did a treadmill run in my lunch today, first time ever on a treadmill. I did 3.88 however there is some confusion as to if this is miles or km! 😂😂 I'm determined to find out the answer tomorrow. Heading to the gym again tomorrow for the cross trainer
Ran Wk9 this evening for my run, as a few peeps have been struggling with it of late and I wanted to show some solidarity.
Must say, because I was doing it for a reason, I did feel pressure and actually found it quite tough. I have been doing 30+ runs 3x a week for a while now and just been going fine and even improving my speed without really trying. But because I sort of had to do this one, things felt more tight and strained and I *GOT* what pre-graduates are dealing with..
As it turns out I did run faster than I thought I was...and got a pb😆unintentionally.
I have learned that running after graduation there is less pressure, even though I don't remember feeling any when I was doing the plan...funny eh?
For my Friday run, I took Oldfloss and lannodatruffe with me on my hill route.
Haven't done this for a few weeks but felt positive that I would be OK...
Felt like I started really slow and somehow on the wrong foot. Thought of Oldfloss and made sure I looked around to soak in my surroundings. As I got to the hill I used Irish John to make sure I attacked it by running with quick short strides.
Once I got to the college it was all guns blazing. I used the positivity of lannodatruffe to push on and felt like I was spinting down the drive. I must have done 5k by now methinks.. as I carry on back to the bus stop.
A lovely exhilarating run. BUT a gremlin must have been messing with my Strava cos only 4.6km and NOT superfast.
I don't care..I loved it...😎
Happy running everyone. And thoughts for those on the ic. xx
