Looks like c25k has made a hole in my trainers. I had sketchers run trainers which before c25k I had not used much at all.
I don't want to buy sketchers again for running , can anyone recommend any other brands types etc.

Recommendations are nigh on impossible. Simply because everyone is different.
To give an example, I do martial arts. I can't train barefoot because of arthritis in my big toe so I have to wear trainers. There is one brand and model that is highly recommended in martial arts circles. I tried some on. They were such a terrible fit in could hardly even walk in them never mind dance about kicking.
So my recommendation would be this. Don't buy online except to replace exact same as something you had before and liked. Otherwise go to a real shop, inspect shoes, poke about to test firmness and depth of sole etc. Try them on. Don't just do the 5 pace test walk. Run up and down the shop in them. Find something that is right for you.
Also don't go by brand. The only thing brand affects is the price.
Recommendation: go to an independent running shop, get a gait analysis carried out, listen to what the expert staff say, come away with the right shoes for YOU! πππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ

all very nice! But a gait analysis and fitting is strongly advised, to see whats right for you..
Go and have proper gait analysis, worth it to protect you from injury etc....
Yes, gait analysis. Most sport shops will offer a 30 day refund or replacement on shoes that they have recommended after gait analysis. You can't go wrong really, but do check before you buy.
