I learnt yesterday when buying my brand new running shoes what the extra two holes on the sides of trainers are for! Genius!

Yes, really worth doing. Shoe laces don't come undone and I find it provides less ankle movement.

Well I hadn't even noticed the extra holes!!. Have just got my shoes out and had ago. Maybe I should try and run more mindfully.

I just went and checked my shoes. Didn't even realise they were there :-). Must invest in some colourful running shoes!

I'd wondered what they were for. Thanks!

I have been using the extra holes, but to be honest have not really noticed any difference to not using them, my feet don't move around in my shoes anyway. Is the benefit where the shoes are a tad loose?😊

Yes, Davelinks. As mooning says, the extra holes stop slippage around the ankles without having to tie the other laces up too tight and therefore gives support higher up the top of the foot.

But I have no slippage when just using the single hole at the top and laces never come undone, have well fitting shoes..😊

OOh where did you get those? I have Ravenna 7s in pink, I'm looking for another colour (so I don't mix them up and run in one old and one new..)

I bought them from a small specialist sports shop in Wolverhampton called Ron Flowers Sports. Great service.

Thank you, I've looked at their website, they don't seem to have them any more... enjoy, I love my pink ones!
