You can do it - slow and steady! Go for it!

Well done you for starting. Take it slowly. You'll get there. I'm 192lbs myself and never thought I could run but just about to start week 5 now 😳👍🏼🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏼

Make sure to really stretch calves. I am overweight and that's been the area thats been taking a beating. And think about hitting the pavement lightly. I got this advice on here and so helpful.

Take it steady.

My motto, for what it's worth, is if it's not fun and it's not necessary it's a waste of life.

Put another way, enjoy it. By all means push yourself a bit, but not to the extent that you're not enjoying it.

Really good luck. Of course it will be tricky but there are lots of people posting good results on this site whatever their size. Just listen to your body and take it easy. Go slow and steady

Good luck! Just trust in the programme, take it slowly and always take the rest days. Repeat runs if you are struggling. It's still progress!

I agree with alll the advice given already. 2 years ago i started c25k weighing in at 270lb. Two years on i am 220lb, not too bad for me (i am 6ft 2in) but a little way to go.

i run at least 25km per week and regularly run half marathons and have recently completed a 14km trail run (another 14km race today!)

The message is that it isn't 'here's goes nothing'. It's here i start something! It won't be easy (worthwhile things seldom are), but it won't be impossible. Trust the program and you will surprise yourself

Good luck on your personal journey

Congratulations on starting. Believe me, this programme works no matter your weight. I started out almost 4 stone over and yes, it wasn't easy but it was doable. I seriously never believed I was capable of getting past week 2 and I did look like a boiled tomato after every session but... The benefits, not only physically but mentally too, are phenomenal. This will be a life changer if you let it. The folk on here are what got me to graduation. When my brain said "I cant" they said "you can" and it's true. We're all behind you ready to cheer you on. Go for it!😊😊😊

Wishing you all the best. Once you have the first day under your belt, the rest will fall into place. Listen to the podcasts and move on when you feel ready. You'll do brilliantly! 😀
