A beautiful start to my run (week 8,run3) although it's deceptively hilly. I decided to see how far I actually run in 28 minutes as I had estimated 4.5 k. WRONG it was actually only 4K. A bit disappointing but I am trying to think philosophically. Things can only get better? Can't they?

Distance does not matter... unless you are in a race:) Looks a beautiful run.... take your time and totally enjoy it :)

You're right. I am most certainly not in a race. Thank you.

Of course. It is enough to build up your body's stamina and endurance enough to be able to run consecutively for 30 mins. That's a good baseline. The rest will come.

Keep up the consistent running the speed will come.

Us people that run on the hilly stuff will never go as far in the same time as people that run on the flat, so do not be disappointed. Don't forget that even in a group of people who have all run the same route, it's pretty much guaranteed that their apps will tell them they've run different distances 😀

Yes, I think your observation about apps is spot on. Onwards and upwards as they say.

Thank you
