A running state of mind?

Is there a word for that feeling, when you lose yourself in the running?

How would you describe it?

I'm not there yet, I have only experienced it a couple of times. But for me the word would be Contentment. That feeling of being happy in a run, not looking at the time, just being in the moment and at the end of a 30 minute run still having enough juice in the tank to run for an extra 5 or 10 minutes.

I would like to get to a point where I experience that contentment on a Parkrun instead of wishing for the finish line.😀

I have heard it called "The Zone", and I know that people often say "zone out" to describe going to a state where you are in the room but are actively not part of what is going on - you can't hear sounds etc. I think that is somewhat akin to "The Zone" in running, you are running without thinking about it. Sadly, I don't think I have hit this level of nirvana very often, if at all, and am sooooooo jealous of those who have :)

Only one?!! I have loads but the one I'd use is "entranced". Perfectly describes how I've felt when I'm there. A bit spaced out and unreal 😌
