so ive been struggling all week and have only managed 2 very half arsed overly sweaty breathless runs of 20 mins each , i took onboard the water drinking thing and had more liquid yesterday than i normally would have , tbh it wasnt the 3 litres suggested because i dont drink water or juice etc but i had about 1.5 litres not including " brews" , i have just managed a 35 min run and am feeling much better about myself , thought i was never gonna hit the 30 again , i would have carried on a little but i get numb in one of my feet im working through lacing socks etc to find out whats best , ive upped my shoe to a 8.5 and am going without socks , this makes a massive difference in the time it takes the foot to numb up |! ... anyways happy days on my run i DO still have my mojo
much better today : so ive been struggling all... - Couch to 5K
much better today
Good effort this morning on the mill, have you tried outside yet. with regard to your numb foot do a search on the subject and see if anything looks similar to your issue it could be something as simple as how you lace your shoes which l think you mentioned.
not been out but am visiting my son in Falmouth next weekend and am planning a run by the sea 😁 I think once I've done that ill try a park run 🏃 and will look into laces defo bigger shoes n sockless helps but trail and error till solved 😁
I love Falmouth, have a lovely run by the sea.
Well enjoy yourself by the sea next week just remember to take your time and most importantly ignore everyone say hello to those who acknowledge you but enjoy, the smell of the sea is a delight. Not tried park run yet as none very close even Haverhill hasn't got one and I can't see the point of driving further than you would spend running.
I feel a bit like that .. the nearest to me, is so well attended it scares me.. and the others would take me a very long time to get there..
Although I am thinking when I am in North Wales at my holiday home I might try the Penrhyn Castle one.. it is about 40 mins drive..but.., I could spend the day there afterwards.. and it is FLAT!!!! )
And you are correct.. running by the sea... blooming wonderful
Well done you!
Try to drink more water, every day... just drinking over the day, the quantity mounts up......chill it, slices of cucumber or lemon in, whatever...and make sure that numb foot is improving too.. as MichaelH070862 says.. shoes may be laced incorrectly or too tightly!
have done laces quite loose as I've been looking into feet swell n running its defo improving I'm just trying to get the magic formula lol 😁 and will def starts drinking more water as I cant hurt x
