Why do my shins hurt and just below my calfs did finish the second run but the pain

Hopefully it gets easier

Loving it though must soldier on

Am NO expert so please forgive me if I'm off 'track' but might be your shoes? I used to get pains in my ankles and shins then changed to new trainers, and read up about running techniques, and so far all good! I also invested in compression socks, love those! Good luck and keep going!

Sounds like shin splits. Don't know how to prevent as I have never had them but I would guess all the usual stretching and proper shoes bought after gait analysis will help.

My first three weeks of the programme were blighted by shin and calf pain. I thought I was completely weird and couldn't understand how others didn't seem to have the same problem! Sometimes it was almost unbearable.

Muscles complain! Especially when you're asking them to do stuff they're not used to. Don't give up. It will get better.

Drink plenty. Hydration makes a big difference. Stretch afterwards and massage your calves and shins as often as possible. Run slowly. Very slowly. And take small steps.

This programme really does work (I remember others telling me that and thinking "maybe for you but YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND MY PAIN! ")😂 Of course everybody understood but I hadn't got to the point of believing it yet!

I could of given up yesterday as the pain was so bad ,but I didn't,I do say I hope this gets easier 😁
