Crapped out on w6r3...

Well, I managed to not complete a run for the first time. I went far too fast on the first, I hadn't taken my Inhaler this morning and I had the wrong playlist on. I don't think that miles Kennedy 'year of the tiger's helps keep the speed down...

And the 6am start at work and long walk with the youngest didn't help either.

I did the first 5 minutes and was tired, not unexpected, I was tired when I started, but after the first half of the second run, I thought 'i can't do it today, and I don't WANT to.' so, I've slowed to a walk and come home.

I'm for a rest and a few beers and the England match tonight.

No worries, we all find we go out to run at the wrong time for our bodies occasionally!

Take a rest day or two, stay hydrated and take the run on again. You can do it, you know you can!

If your body is telling you that you should stop, then stop, but if it is your mind telling you to then give it a good talking to and ignore it!

But with you on the beer and football front tonight!

You did exactly the right thing... Sometimes it just doesn't feel right, so its best to stop or risk getting injured.

Enjoy a rest and few beers!

Listening to your body as Millsie-J says..is the right thing to do.. rest up and when you do head out... steady and slow:)

I'm going to take all of your sage advice. Plenty of rest, might leave it until Saturday morning, then I can have a lie in and be really up for it when I go out. I'll charge my headphones overnight, and go out and smash it next time. 😊

No worries. It’ll wait. Don’t let it bug you. We all have runs like that!

I did pretty much the same thing 5 mins in and I just lost the will to do more, turned round and walked home. Gave it a few days rest then tried again.

Dude you still walked it if not completed the run. Your body was certainly saying something to you - rest. You will ace the next aim.
