What a washout!!

I learned something yesterday. I dont like running in the rain!! On the way home from work i was debating whether to go to the gymn and use the treadmill, but once I had changed I just headed out the door to run. Well I only got half way. I couldnt see, I was wet through and I just felt so vulnerable!

I am proud that I attempted it. Put it down to experience and finish the run on Thursday. And next time I need to run in the rain I will hit the gymn.

Rain is part of life if you live in the uk. Best start now and get used to it. Cap and lightweight hooded rain jacket, cheap as chips from Aldi etc 🙂

Rain is cooling so can be a boon🌨

If you have a gym to use fair enough but outside is good and the time flies by 🙂

Ha ha I got caught running in the rain last night. I did find that it stopped me overheating though. Another benefit was it kept other people indoors so I had the streets to myself. Lovely :)

Just what I Thought! I was on the trail and saw one cyclist, one runner and one dog walker on my 8k run. It was wet and windy but it eased off just at the end 😃

All I had to do was keep out of the way of the big roadside puddles. The lovely car drivers just love to drench an unsuspecting runner :O

There's rain, and then there's Rain.

A gentle flurry of light rain towards the end of a pleasent run to cool me down, lovely.

A downpour 5 minutes in that drenches me through so I can't barely see where I am going - get home cold and wet and shivering, no thank you.

I think I was a bit silly. The rain was torrential and it was already pouring when I set off plus inadequate gear, I was wet through before I finished my 5 minute warm up

The worst part was not being able to see. My glasses were so wet I could see better without them! Bear in mind I cant see the top line on a standard sight test chart without my glasses! I do wish I had waited till this morning it was a lovely morning.
