Since I've said to a few other people recently they should stop thinking and just get out there, I thought I'd better take my own advice So I got in from work, told Mr Rainbow I was going for a run and would sort out dinner when I got back, got changed while watching the rain heave down, and headed out into sunshine!
Despite my misgivings about the weather, the sun and sky have done their best to convince me it's a beautiful sunny evening, and I should have gone with a slightly more summery top - but the bright reflections off the puddles and wet road tell their own tale.
So yes, that's another 20 minute success. I *think* I'm going to do another the same later this week, then go for around 22-23 mins three times next week, then 25, 28, 30 following weeks 7-9. But who knows. The chances of me managing three runs a week are pretty slim, so this is very aspirational - but I definitely work best with a plan!
Anyway, for now this is a very happy and tired me, face as pink as my (very bright) top. Proper stretches needed now...
