A bit apprehensive setting of this morning as signing up for this is what prompted me to do couch to 5k initially and it was taking part on the hilly park that I really struggled with a couple of weeks ago. Well I still struggled - I looked at my heart rate monitor once and decided to not look at it again!! I was determined to push myself and run it if I possibly could as I lost my dad and recently my mum to cancer and my little sis is battling it for the third time.
It was hard going but I even found myself overtaking people on the hills whilst dodging people and tree roots! And I did it! I really ran 5k! At just over 38 mins too! As you can see I was really enjoying myself! Ha ha

Well done. I'm doing the race for life in 3 weeks - something I've also wanted to do for several years but never had the courage. My mum died from cancer and my dad is fighting it just now so a cause close to my heart. I'm just about to do W6R3 on the c2k programme. I never thought I'd even get this far and I can actually say I'm enjoying it. I am looking forward to giving the Race a really good go and your post has inspired me to keep going. Thank you
Fab - I had never done it before but the atmosphere was amazing and the thought of who you are doing it for gets you round when it gets tough - Good luck and speedy legs 🙂
