I was lucky enough to have been at Woburn centre parcs for a couple of days and when I woke up yesterday my first thought was to go running. It was fabulous but not without challenges. My normal routes are all flat and I found myself confronted with varied terrain and the up hill parts definitely took it out of me. In saying that they never beat me. I am very lucky and live in a beautiful village and have learned that my surroundings make a huge difference to my run and my ability to zone out, music definitely helps too. Week 5 run 1 was definitely my most enjoyable run yet. Tomorrow I am attempting run 2 and it feels exciting as it marks tipping over the halfway point.
