First run done and it was so much harder than I thought! This gave me the wake up call I needed to get my health back on track.
Also it felt good to do something for me,not just get in from work and cook clean etc! Looking forward to the rest!

I was exactly the same and thought he'll will freeze over before I can run 30 min ... was practically on my knees gasping for breath. But with the encouragement of everyone here and reading their stories you can do it and boy does it feel great! I know everyone says take it easy but it's seriously the best advice. I'm now just about to do W9R2 and still can't quite believe I'm actually running! Good luck and enjoy it!!!
Wake up calls are good....so long as you haven't left it too late!!!
I am sure you haven't ........and this programme really will get you running non stop for 30 minutes, in just a few weeks. It may be tough at times but we will encourage you and you will transform your life.
Take it slow. Take your rest days and take heart from the fact that thousands of folk just like you have succeeded with this plan.
Welcome and good luck. keep us posted.
Well done you for getting started, that's the hardest part. You will hear the same advice over and over if you read around this forum. Make sure you take your rest days and run slower, then slower still and when you can't go any slower, halve that speed. The early weeks are supposed to build your body's tolerance to the running motion. You could do it on the spot if it weren't so boring! Speed and distance covered mean nothing at first. I just did the first run of week 4 and I really can't believe this is working ( I know , I sound like a person on an advert). Every previous attempt to learn to run has left me frustrated with my lungs, they just don't do what they are supposed to but so far, I've had no such problems.
Trust in yourself, the program and get back out there on Wednesday. Well done.ππΌππΌππΌππΌπ’ππΌββοΈπ’ππΌββοΈπ’ππΌββοΈ
Congratulations on taking the hardest step - getting off that couch! The rest is easy.
OK, that's a lie. There are more hardships to come but none are as tough as that first step.
