That is so great! Well done you! I would love to do 10k and I might just do that one day. At the minute I'm doing 5k runs. One I completed on Sunday time not so good 44.13.but got some bling though so that was great. So preparing again for RFL in July 5k. I'm overweight,59 years old but trying hard. Any tips for 10k ?
Nice bling by the way π ππ
Tips for 10K.. run your own race and don't start off fast.
I went out 5 times a week for the weeks before. Builds stamina not speed. I also fast walked the course twice ... the knowledge that I was capable of finishing was important for me. π
I do 'Park run' most Saturday mornings (around 5km). I have now done 12 - best time was 40 mins. But it's usually 42-43.
I don't know if it's age πweight πshort legs π but my time isn't changing. At the moment I am pleased to do it and finish.
There's loads on Google about ways to increase your speed. Hope this helps. π Pauline
