Not wanting to spend a fortune on headphones because I don't really get on with things stuck in my ears I bought some cheap ones from Currys and they've been brilliant, have never fallen out. In fact my husband (who has more expensive tastes) also likes them so I've just ordered him a pair. They are JVC sport HA-ETX30-B, £14.95.

It might be that they are the wrong size. Try to find a pair that has different sized coverings for the ear bud parts and/or has hooks that go over your ears to hold the ear buds in place.

I went 'cheap' for months and all that happened was the cords would fray and break, or I would be eternally having to fidget with them to get them to stay properly in my ears, they would be uncomfortable anyway etc etc.

Ended up 'splashing out' $25 on a 'proper' pair - they have a hook thing that goes around your ear so that the speaker thingy part is more 'resting' in your auricular canal that being 'wedged in'

took me a couple of runs to get used to them and now would not give them up for ANYTHING. So comfortable I don't know I'm wearing them, the sound is freat and more importantly even in each ear - so my 'balance' isn't throw off when I run and I don't get distracted/irritated by more volume in one side of my head than the other etc.

Truly these fit the mantra of spending more money for better quality/longevity 'buy once - or buy often' :)

hope this helps :)

In my experience, spending more on headphones means spending often; my kids pinch them!
