Am I too big this time?

I did CouchTo5k 4 years ago. It worked and I continued to run for 2 years and felt great. Due to family issues I stopped for a year. Put on a stone and started again. Got Plantar Fascilitis and quit again. I'm now up smith stone. Am I too fat to do it now? I'm worried about injury

I'm 5'8" and 17 stone, recovering from a bulging disk in my lower back. Remember it's not all about the 5k, just getting out and doing something is a start.

Too right.. forget the 5K and just do what you are doing, running... keep it steady and slow :)

Exactly. You're getting out and doing something and not staying sat on the couch πŸ‘

Welcome... and welcome back too. Go for this... and keep it steady and keep it slow. You know what the form is and you can do this :)

The way to stay injury free is to take your rest days, take extra if you need...maybe do the Strength and Flex on your rest days too, to help build up strength and stamina... listen to your body too :)

Healthy eating regime, exercise, and the coming warmer months? What a perfect time to combination :)!!!

Keep posting and we will support you all the way through, as ever. :)

No definitely not, best to start than still stay sat on the couch!

I was 6 stone overweight when I started last year and now 3 stone down and feeling better than I have for years.

Fitting in clothes that I haven't been able to get in to for many years and no longer feeling out of breath walking upstairs or out on a walk with my dog πŸ‘

Go for it! Well done for re-starting. Just make sure you stretch both before and after each run. Hope you enjoy it 😍
