Did my W1 R2 for first 30 mins of Parkrun then walked most of rest. 391/399 and 45.05 mins. Because I've always been a walker my legs are strong but running now makes my quads sore. Anyone relate to this, please?

Oh yes....I came to this a non runner but have always walked and cycled a bit so I was a bit shocked at how my thighs hurt. I think it is down to the ligaments being used differently. I really only suffered in my first week. Just make sure you take your rest days.

Yep!! I remember hardly being able to walk down the stairs because of upper leg stiffness. I started doing stretches after every run and by about week 5 nearly all of the aches resulting from running subsided to the level of background. I still do the stretching though.

Yes! If I don't stretch my quads after a run, stairs become painful! I use the NHS Stretches which are on a pinned post. If I do those then I'm fine 😊
