My leg has been hurting recently and ive been advised to rest so it doesn't get worse. But I was wondering could I do earlier weeks to keep up my fitness or would even that be bad for it?
Also, is there anything I can do to speed up healing? I think its just a mild case of pulled muscle in thigh.

Have you had a proper diagnosis? If you've been advised to rest (presumably by a health professional) then that's what you should do. Mother Nature takes her own time and doesn't rush just because we're impatient to run again.
You can still do upper body work to keep the body moving.
Be patient, the road will still be there when you're ready to run again.
