This morning I completed W2R1 - found it really hard work - its surprising how much more difficult it seemed running for the extra 30 secs each run today but then haven't run for 30+ years so only to be expected. Just hope I can stick to the program - am signing up a team from work to complete a 5k run for charity in September so have a goal to aim for - hope it gets easier - the posts I have read on here are very inspiring which helps π

it doesn't get easier. The 90 seconds of W2 feels harder than the 60 seconds of W1 because it is half as much running again each time. With each progressive week it increases and the effort required increases. It will always be hard work.
That's the bad news.
The good news is that by Run 2 of each week, the time you were doing the previous week will seem much easier. This time next week you will be striggling through the last bit of 3 minutes thinking "God why couldn't I till be doing 90 seconds? That's easy." And so on.
Progressive overload.
it's never easy, but it is simple and it does work.
But the other good news is the hardest bit is already behind you. Once you have got over the hurdle of starting on W1D1 its all starightforward and just a matter of keeping on keeping on.
Well done.
