Hip pain

Hi

I started programme yesterday and completed day 1 on treadmill I should have rested today but that would have meant that I couldn't complete next session as have an appointment on Tuesday so did it today instead. But today was going to use athletics track but it was under construction so went several times around football pitch. It wasn't the warmest so that could explain a lot I guess. I've got pain in my left hip and lower back .

Any suggestions please

Ellie

Get ready for people to tell you to take your rest days...

You went from being (I assume) someone who does not regularly exercise to doing half a week's work in two consecutive days. That could explain more than the temperature.

Take your rest days. If in doubt take two. Otherwise you will risk discomfort and having to take several days off till you are less sore.

The answer, as usual is FTDP. Follow The Damn Programme.

But well done for getting out there and hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for advise.

I do use treadmill regularly but 30 min straight.

I WILL take rest days.

As Rig said: Follow the program.

Do not run on consecutive days! If you are not able to run on what should be a run day then take an extra rest day and run the following day

Think 'repair day' and you'll find it easier to do them.

No need to rest on your rest days...... just no impact exercise such as running.
