I tried the couch to 5k last summer but got stuck transitioning from week 5-6 and really struggled and ended up giving up, trying again this year, just completed first run, really tough but maybe joining here will spur me on to keep it up this time! πŸ™‚

I've started and stopped several times. I've got to week 7 this time and kind of stopped with the C25K. Really struggling with running for 25 mins (although did it once). I now run with a group a couple of times a week which I find easier as they keep me going (although I still struggle). I wonder if some people are just not made for running?

I hope you keep going, it does feel good to be active, not sure we are all made for running but it's a good stress reliever πŸ™‚

It will! It will.. we will keep you on that running path!

Follow the C25K programme and the podcasts, take your rest days and mainly, as you know, keep it slow and steady!

A few folk rush and push themselves and usually just give up, ( not you, I hasten to add, or end up on the injury couch and wonder why!)

The support on here is amazing, we are all in this together and have had success and setbacks and encouraged each other in both!

So...very well done and looking forward to your next post :)

I too found week 5 to week 6 tough. I had the added bonus of going on a 3 week holiday in between. From what I remember it took me 3 goes to manage W5R1 through to the end, but everyone on here supported me and when I finally did the full 3 runs all the way through it felt amazing. If you can't finish one, just keep chipping away at it until you do finish it, then move on to the next run - it will work eventually. If you struggle, post about it, people on here will help you through - they're a great bunch.
