Well midnight and just back from the gym having done the final run of week 8. Stupid time to have done it but I was determined to get it done tonight. The plan is to get 9-1 done on Thursday, 9-2 on Saturday and the big one on Monday when I will turn 51. By putting this post up I am more likely to do it! I think it's sort of "self blackmail"! Last week I ran a couple of times for 30 mins so I should be able to do it! As many other posts comment I am also no where near 5k in 30 mins... Laura says around 5k... If that means about 4k then I'm on track!
Good luck all you C25Kers out there whichever week you are on!

Thanks Oldfloss... At least running in the dark hides my red chubby face! On one occasion working out at the gym one of the instructors came over to check I was ok!!!
You're nearly there! I graduated in January, and I still haven't run further than 4k (it had been my plan, but various lurgies have meant that I haven't been able to run regularly since). Just focus on the 30 minutes and the rest will come with time!
Yes you're spot on CookieM its the 30 min not the 5k... I've managed one parkrun a couple of weeks ago and did 5k there in just under 39 mins... Goodness knows how! Must have been a strong tail wind... And even then I was pretty near the back but they seem a pretty friendly bunch... They were cheering on us tailenders.
Thanks, did run 9-1 this evening so still on track to finish Monday/ birthday. Also hoping to do 9-2 as a parkrun on Sat. But as the Scottish bard said"the best laid plans of mice and men.." So I'll see how it goes.
