Week 7.......

I made it!! Each run took massive effort to carry on during the first 10 minutes but I plodded through! Decided to change the time of day I run from after work to before work (5am!!!). Not sure it made much difference but it was nice to be properly awake when I went to work!!

Something has happened to my leg though over the last couple of days. It started as just a pain starting just below my knee and has developed to the whole leg being very tight and painful to walk on. It didnt hurt at all when I ran this morning and started yesterday on my rest day!! Weird! I'll give it a couple of days rest & see if that helps but I NEED to keep on track with this programme!!

You are definitely a committed Runner :) Please do be careful of that leg though - you have a whole lifetime ahead to run but the IC is an unforgiving thing and could take many more of those days off of you than a few days R&R would be. It took me twelve or thirteen weeks to graduate, and I was nowhere near 5K when I did my third run, I took things very slow and steady - but on the other hand I never hurt myself nor even got a Stitch in my side. Slow..and slower still works on many levels ;)

Thank you 😊 I got the bus back from work yesterday and kept it up all night - even foregoing our usual Friday night festivities! The weird thing is, it hasnt hurt at all when Ive run! Feels a bit tight round the back today & almost as if bruised under my knee at the front so I'll keep off it again today - husband will have to do the cleaning!! Every cloud!! 😁

I bet your Husband is delighted you are running and getting healthier and will thereby be around longer with him :)
