Lacking motivation after a long shift at work! What do you guys use for a pre run snack?

Banana. A bit unimaginative, I know. And I don't even like bananas! It's just the easiest thing.

When I'm lacking motivation I do, however, cheer myself up with a promise of a nice post-run snack or lunch. (I usually run before lunch, so on run days, plan one of my favourite lunches so i can look forward to it while I am pounding the pavements.)

Another vote for the humble banana.

I hate bananas. I have a handful of unsalted nuts.

Only have a snack if you are hungry, as if you are only running for 30 minutes you don't need anything extra

That said if it was a while since you late ate then, banana, fig roll, a sandwich or toast with small amount of butter and marm or jam. Peanut butter on toast is fabbo. A running snack that you made yourself. I keep mine in the freezer and take one out when I know I'm running. Trail mix of nuts and mixed fruits, but just a small amount in the palm of your hand.

Rice cake and almond butter (just one)

Cor almond butter! Forgot that one! I have a red apple, sliced and dip it into the almond butter. I limit myself to a heaped teaspoonful

I have not eaten an apple since my face plant. My teef! 🙄🙁

Couple of dates, but full of carbs so just a couple if you really need something.

Oh I forgot! Rice pudding!

I make my own - often! I love the stuff. You can either add dried fruits or not, add spice or not, coconut milk or not. Very versatile it is! Yummy, easily digested. Just be aware that some folks can't cope with milky drinks etc too soon before a run as it makes you feel a bit sick.

Dried figs are good. Don't overdo them though!!!
