First run of FINAL WEEK and it was bloody hard! ! My legs felt like lead weights. Was really hoping to finish in style with perhaps a couple of sprints thrown in but if I can just make twit to Friday doing 30 minutes non stop I will be happy. Only managed just over 4k today.
But I guess, as my BFF said, "couch 2 somewhere between 3.5-5k" isn't too catchy!!

I felt like that last week, Annie... I actually had a poor W9R1 but a great R2 and a mediocre R3..."only" running 3.89 on R3... For me, I know it was the pressure... The "this is the week, I must do well"... I graduated last Thur and today ran 5k in 42 minutes - the pressure is off so I found it easier... Then again, as the experienced ones on here remind us - some runs are just not great and there's just no rhyme of reason to it. Don't be disheartened - you're so close!
Thank you Emmy. I guess by now I should know all this! Was rather windy today too, which I find always affects me direly. Just wonder when it ever gets easier? !
No rhyme or reason - sometimes it's just like that. :/ Don't put pressure on yourself about distance for this week - just try and enjoy the running for the end of the beginning...
Some runs are just plain hard and every difficult run conquered is a huge victory. I truly believe it's the hard runs that make us mentally stronger, after all anyone can breeze through an easy run, but it takes courage and determination to keep going through the difficult ones. A few weeks ago, like the rest of us, you'd have wondered how you could possible manage 30 minutes - now look at you!
