Well today was run 1 of week 6, it does get you! you run for 20 minutes last time out and you think you are nearly there! and then comes week6 run1! it throws your pace all over the place, well it did me! However I did it!!! The voices in my head???? kept saying "slow down" and it worked next up run 2 on Tuesday.

That first run of week six is a bit of a curve ball after nailing the 20 minutes isn't it! But nailed it you have. So, Tuesday is the last interval run and then you can just consolidate everything you've done so far, adding small increments. You really have the hardest bits behind you now. Have a great run on Tuesday😊
I don't think I'll ever be a long distance runner! I like the intervals and I like a good 30 minute run too. Some of my runs seem to morph into something else as I'm going! I'll start off thinking I'll do some intervals, and then get kind of comfortable with the pace and keep going. Other times I'll start out going for a 30 or 40 minute session, get hit with a gremlin at 10 minutes and end up doing 30 minutes run/walk. As long as I'm doing something 2 or 3 times a week I'm happy☺
That sounds good, I think I am the type who would prefer to mix it up a bit, otherwise I would get bored just running 3x30 mins per week. I think once I have graduated I will start using some of the pre-set programmes on my treadmill.
