C25K+ Speed podcast attempt, er... less than 100% successful

Downwind in Storm Doris was great but then I was almost blown over when I turned side-on to the wind and anyway when Laura said slow down to run 155 bpm I was out of breath so I walked the minute at that pace. I did two more sprints but then called it a day, it's no day for running fast on open heathland. Still, I know I have a sprint ready for the end of my second parkrun on Saturday.

  • well done!!

  • Discretion is the better part of valour! Enjoy your parkrun xx

  • Yep it's deffo tricky out there today. I put off my run having battled against gusting winds while out the with dog 🐶.

I have a fast run planned but you can't run fast in this! Dammit 😀

  • Ha! Yes, running in the wind is a whole different ball game! I did a 10k in Brighton once which was great with the wind behind us (positively flying along), but oh my, when we turned and started to run back into wind, it was as if we had all turned into mime artists. The legs were still running, but we were none of us moving at all. Not fun! Discretion is definitely the better part of valour if you have the choice. :) Good luck for Saturday!
