My n-time of first run

Welcome everybody,

I am new in here. I started running last September then I had to stop mid-October, as I got really ill and I couldn't get better for a long time. After that was another excuse - cold and rainy winter. And it wasn't even the first time I started, but the first time with this podcasts.

I am tired of quitting and starting everything all over. Today I started, again, for good. I run week 3 run 1 (W3R1) and for the first time I went with my dog. It wasn't easy, as my dog is not perfect even with walking, but it was nice to have a company and knowing that I am doing something good not only for myself.

Let's hope I finally achieve my dream of becoming a runner. I always admire runners and I want to become one. Additionally, I hope that as a "side effect" I will lose some fat ;)

I created account and wanted to greet all of you.

Iga

Good on you :) I run with my dog too and I find that she is great at getting me motivated and she is actually better behaved when running than walking. I also find that taking her means I am less self conscious, as I figure she takes peoples attention off me. To be honest I havent done a single run without her!

Anyway good luck!

Hi! I run with my dogs too, I'm lucky to have off road tracks very near home so they just run free while I'm running. I'm on Week three Run 2 later today, good luck with your next one!

I have some off road tracks as well near me, but I want to build up my leg strength, knee and ankle stability, along with endurance first. Then I can move to more muddy or even boggy paths that are along the river / canal.
