I think after week 7, there is so little to add, you could just go for it. Slowing down during the run allows you to keep going. What makes you want to repeat weeks? If you did it, well done. After graduation, I kept up running x 3 times a week x 30 minutes and then did a 5k. After that, kept doing 3 x 5k runs til I felt it was comfortable
When all is said and done the challenge of that extra 3 minutes is mostly a mental one.
If you think that the extra day of rest will help you be in tip top shape then that's the way to go.

I am currently working through week 8 & am doing it as the program suggests, a rest day between runs but it is completely your choice as to how many rest days you have. If you want more rest days so that you are feeling tip top and raring to go, then that's what you must do.

Well, I completed D1W8 today and I'm so delighted, I'm getting there. I was going to leave 2 days of a break but I decided to go for it today. .....yesss.
