This morning involved a brief discussion with Hubby-to-Be about why the world outside our bedroom is stupid (we both agree it's because the world outside our bedroom doesn't contain our bed) before I got up, put the kettle on and with some small amount of reluctance, put my hair into a ponytail and pulled on my kit, trying to be positive as after yesterday's non-stop bucketing down with rain, today looked like it would be nice, blue skies and sunshine, if still a bit damp from yesterday.
Hubby-to-Be once again safely dropped off at work, I set off for the park, revelling in the sunlight, telling myself it would be a nice, if misty day for a jog around the park. And I wasn't wrong....for about 7 minutes when I noticed while the sky over the park was clear and blue there was a huge, extremely dark cloud making its slow way over to the park and the rest of town "Oh well," I thought hopefully, "maybe it'll just pass over with no rain"
No such luck. Huge Dark Cloud settled over the park and just as I was cresting the small hill by the outdoor gym - plop! plop! plop-plop-plopplopplop! The heavens opened
"Oh well," Goblin Cecelia shrugged, where she'd been hanging onto my shoulder with the tips of her claws "that's that for today then. I don't think it's going to stop raining. There's no shame in doing it again tomorrow"
"Ye of little faith. I'm just under halfway in. And look, there's the standing marquee for the local rugby team fans, I'll run under that until the rain passes"
"What if it doesn't pass?"
"I'll just run back and forth until the run's over"
"Damn" said Cecelia and went to hide in the hoodie of my jacket
Fortunately, it only took a few minutes for the rain to ease, I could resume running around the whole of the park and soon the last run of week 7 was finished. How do I feel: pretty damned excited for next week
