Back on the running wagon tonight... πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Hello,

Well tonight I'm planning on getting my trainers back on after a not great end to 2016, topped off with the ubiquitous germs and the doctors messing up leaving me without my asthma medication for several weeks.

But today I'm getting back out but no idea where to pick back up πŸ˜• Those at the same stage as I had been have since graduated and feel glum about going back to walking/running intervals. I had originally got to week 8, comfortably managed some week 7 25 minute outings just before Christmas but need to be realistic that it could be a challenge to jump straight back in...

Total random addition, I started to tell more friends and family I was doing c25k. One of my brothers has severe depression-anxiety and once used to love running but hasn't for years. However he has got so enthusiastic about his tubby sister getting off the couch and out that he's said it's inspired him to get back out running again πŸ˜€ So, even if it takes me ages to complete c25k, I'll take this as a win for him, and still be shocked that this tubby 40-something who was a lover of the sofa could ever be an inspiration to anyone to get running πŸ˜‰

I had gremlin (head based) problems and found myself going back a few weeks in the programme. However, I think the best approach is to go for a run and see how well you do. This will give you an indication of how much of your mojo has gone or indeed, give you the welcome surprise of being able to run for 20, 25 or 38 minutes.

Whatever you decide to do, take it steady and don't underestimate the effects of those dreaded winter germs.

And well done for getting your brother enthused.

Laura says the same thing at the end of week 9, that you will be an inspiration to others...and you are Lilleth27

Well done for getting back out there, it can't have been easy. Take it slow and see how you find it. Good luck :)

Why not try a week 7 run and see how it goes? If it's too hard, then drop back another week.

And well done for getting your brother back up and running!! :)

How wonderful that you're an inspiration to others to get running! :) That must feel great. It might be a bit of trial and error to work out where is comfortable to start back again. Don't worry about needing to go back a couple of weeks. You'll be where you were before you know it. :)

Thank you for your advice and kind comments 😊 I've made it and felt great to be back out again! I decided to go for the W6R2 and see how i felt when it got to the walking bit; walk if I needed or if I felt OK I'd keep going... amazingly I felt good so carried on πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ so pleased I got a 23 minute treat after what felt to be a massive break, might do another then get get back on week 7. Hooray, it's great to be back πŸ˜€
