Sounds good doesn't it?? There is one of these near me, in Bournemouth, in February. I was just wondering if anyone from here was thinking of going or has signed up? I can't wait!! My first proper event!!

Oooh. Definitely sign up. Do you eat the chocolate en route? I do a cinnamon bun run every year. Food plus running is the best idea.

I think I will sign up, chocolate is good with everything, even fitness!! As far as I understand, you get unlimited hot chocolate when you are done and a chocolate goody bag of sorts! My friend offered to run with me and dangle a bar of chocolate just out of reach to help me run faster lol! A cinnamon bun run sounds pretty good too! I take it there are buns to eat after you have run?

8 mile run with mandatory buns at 5 and 10k. And as many as you want at the end. But I'd run even better for chocolate. You must sign up and give us a post-race report. How long is the run?

Also, a February race with hot chocolate sounds marvelous. Just what you need to keep the motivation up.

Mandatory buns at 5 and 10K?! That sounds incredible!! I have signed up now! And I managed to talk my work colleague into signing up too lol!! It's on the 12th of Feb, nice and early on a cold Sunday morning. I must really love running! It's a 5k run. Not too hard for me to do and a good start to racing. I think a cooked breakfast after might be the perfect treat! I love food 😊

Sounds like a perfect weekend planned. I love a 5k race, I think they're my favourite. You get all kinds of people out, from the speed demons to the casual walker. That'll be a wonderful introduction to racing. I also did my first race with colleagues. It was a blast, and kept me from backing out because they expected me to be there.

I am really excited! My first race and it involves chocolate, it's meant to be! Do you have any races planned this year?

Yep. Bun run in June, it'll be my third. New Year's Eve 5k that I've done every year since I started running. And we have a handful of cheap races in town. I usually run about 5 out of the 7 races they offer, usually 5k, 10 if I'm feeling like a hero (you get to pick the distance). We recently got a Parkrun though, and I'm there every weekend. So it's almost like a race every week. It's great. I'm always on the lookout for other fun ones in my area.

I need to look for some more fun runs. I have had a brief look, but all I can find is the marathon lol! Not quite there yet!!

After my Santa Dash we had mince pies, other yummy pastries and a hot chocolate and because hubby was a Marshall he got some too! On route there was a table set out with lots of chocolates but I was very good and ran straight past (which is a miracle). Chocolate goody bag sounds a nice idea! Best of luck

Oh my goodness, what is not to like? There is no event near me, unfortunately, but I have "liked" the FB page in the hope one is arranged soon. I looked up the Cinnamon Bun Fun Run too. A bit far to go...even for a cinnamon bun!

I'm so disappointed that I can only find a Cinnamon Bun Run in Canada - that's just a tad too far...

There was supposed to be a Hot Chocolate Run near me last year, but the page never got updated with proper details so I suspect it just didn't happen :( Maybe I should have another look for this year! :)

If you ever come to Canada, I'll run it with you.... There's also a marathon in France that involves wine stops.

Not what you're looking for?
