Peace

For Irish-John, McFitty, Pc59, Lee337, Irishprincess and all of you other busy bees out there, this post is for EVERYONE on this forum -

It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work - - it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Happy Christmas everyone, happy running and I hope that you all find peace this Christmas, even if it is amongst noisy children and grandchildren! :) XXX

There midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,

And evening full of the linnet’s wings.

Though I guess that's not what your school boy version was now, was it!

Might tell you in person sometime, it's funny when you hear it but not when it's written ;)

Think mine will be a bit more peaceful. These days lots of relatives have less holidays over xmas. So relative duties squeezed into shorter timeframe.

Have good Christmas !

Aww, thank you! A good reminder to slow down a little in the chaos. Two teenagers mean that peace is occasionally in short supply!

You're welcome. You'll still have inner peace, despite the outer chaos! :)

Thank you Flossie22 and the same for you, too. I've just got back from a few days helping with a house move with no time to think about peace or not but am looking forward to a calmer, albeit busy, time with family over Christmas.

Aaah and a peaceful happy christmas to you and your family too Flossie.

Just picturing you on your swivel chair in the kitchen makes me smile, 😊especially when the result is you made yourself a lovely cuppa!

You are keeping very chipper considering your injury so I think you must have a lot of inner peace.

Oh that is so kind, Jan! I do hope so! I actually managed to get my 18 year old to be my "fetchermite" at lunch time and I made the mince pies, with him getting all the ingredients out, and me making the pastry, rolling it and cutting it out, it was actually very therapeutic, and now we have home made mince pies for Christmas Eve - yum! :) x
