Hi all!

Set off for my evening run as usual the heavens opened. The wind was strong and my breath was unusually laboured. Despite that.. the canal was deserted - Best time for me as I can play around a bit with the fast and slow running without the normal obstacles. I can only describe the peace you feel when this happens as both fulfilling and complete. A really good run and have been grateful for living so near to this wonderful place. I am moving soon and will have to find somewhere else if not, It's a farm and I shall have the fields not the garden path to resort too!

JJ's video selfies are so helpful and wondered if we all could try one sometime. May be fun and it great to watch other runners, always forces me out the door!. I did try a little one on mine tonight but I sound like a right prat (repetitive too!) and always bedraggled from the rain. Hat's off JJ for making it look easy. Happy running all. :)

Evenin Carole. I don't know how JJ seems to run and film at the same time yet the whole thing is so smooth. It's a gift! LOL

Moving house to a farm! Wow, that sounds well exciting. You a farmer then? I run on some farm tracks sometimes and they are terrible! Where the animals make grooves and ruts in the wet mud, which then dries, it's hideous on the ankles. Ouchy, ouch ouch, and that's just walking. Tee hee

You'll miss your current place I expect. You'll be sad to leave if it's beautifully peaceful but you can always go back there to visit, and have a run for old time's sake

Thanks MW :) I'm not but may as well be with all the animals I have accumulated here!! No the land will be rented to nearby farmers, just saw a good opportunity. Will be funny dodging all the sheep poo etc! and hope it not too hard on the ankles! I am only 10 miles away so guess I shall be visiting often! Good luck on your race at weekend sounds great- Make sure you take goodies and juice. Will be waiting for the full report! :)

Hi Carole it's great isn't it just the sheer joy of altering your pace and being in the fresh air is superb. Good luck in your new place. Sounds exciting

Thank you! A bit apprehensive to leave here with having 20 miles of canal on my doorstep :) Just fate I guess. Hope the treadmill hasn't been to tedious but I am sure it is helping with your calf and ankle. No extra stress needed at the mo. I wish I had done this years ago when young and injuries may have been lighter but my old knee gives me gyp too! Bloody ageing process I keep telling it to leave me alone LOL. Good luck!

Thank you! Maybe we should have a 'worst take version' on the video selfie then! I can laugh at myself ! :) Great to hear you are running and conversing at the same time with fellow runners and forgetting the distance! I sing out loud when lost in thought then remember to look around!! Song Tourettes for me! Happy running and take care in the weather x

Yes its great if you want to take your mind off the miles! Trouble is I've now entered my first HM, so will definitely need to talk and talk to get that done! x :-)
