What timing! We had bad bugs here too. You'll manage. Maybe consider a run-walk for that first session back to ease in and get an extra kilometer or two.
Come on Andy, you can do it. Don't get back out there too soon, but you'll know when it's sensible to venture out there, and you'll smash your target! You've got three 5ks to do and a 2k. If you wait until three days from now you should be able to run 5K, then have a rest day, another 5k, then another rest day, a 2K, then a rest day, then a final 5K. Thanks.. think I might try a few K on Thursday and see how that goes. Think this is the longest I have gone without running but I genuinely don't feel I've had the strength!!
I think that's a good idea. Go out on Thursday if you're feeling ok and tell yourself you're going to do a couple of K, then see how it goes. I hope you feel a lot better by then.
If you've been off for 7 days already, the cold must be on it's way....unless it's something worse. Hope not! Yes, you'll have to drag yourself round, you can do it! Fantastic going, well done you!
