Apologies for lateness of this post, but I completed Wk9 Run3 last Thursday. Felt amazing to have stuck at it for 9 weeks and be exactly where I wanted to be - able to run for 30minutes fairly comfortably, and ENJOY it. I do feel like a runner now - I'm strava-ed up and am discussing foot cadence, intervals and Garmins at the coffee machine ! One day I might even know what I'm talking about...
In week 9 I managed to go round a hilly circuit I used to run years a go and completed 5K in 30mins - that will be my "go to" run in the future. My Wk9 R3 was early morning and was in the wind and rain and I almost undid myself by falling off a curb - which would have been a bit of an anti climax... However I survived, and during that run I did think of all the great tried and tested advice and the positive and nurturing people on this forum, whose advice has been so useful and motivating. Thanks to everyone who contributes to my favourite place on net.
This week (post C25K) I have carried on with Laura in the post C25K+ pod casts which I have really enjoyed and would recommend. My next step is to continue to run 3 times a week, a few park runs, and hoping to build up to a 10k about mid March.
Cheers everyone - beers are on me!
