Hi everyone.

Great news that around 50 forum members have now pledged to run a local parkrun on Christmas Eve. The aim is to have fun, but also to support forum members new to parkrun, and to promote the C25K terrific programme. We are aware we have representatives from across the UK, Canada, South Africa, Australia, America, If I’ve missed anywhere out please let us know.

If anyone else wants to join in please let us know by replying to this post. You can just run on the day of course πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸΌ. There are also pinned posts on C25K and B210K forums for more details. Many of the responses from forum members on these pinned posts include where they will be running. If you wish to link up with someone at any of the venues mentioned please contact the individual concerned directly. And enjoy!

Virtual mince pies and mulled wine are available after the race!

RunaroundSue has very kindly prepared the attached banner, which you can print off and use for a photo opportunity on the day if you would like to. Sue will then prepare a piece for parkrun’s β€˜Feedback from the Field’ as parkrun have said they will include a short update in the parkrun UK news weekly bulletin, don’t forget to look out for this!. To support this it would be great if you can post on the forum an update saying where you ran, if its your first time, or any other great stories. For example henpen90 will be running her 100th parkrun on that day!

You can also upload your photos to the parkrun Facebook page if you wish to. If you label then #C25KforumVirtualTeam there will hopefully be a theme that viewers can search on! Don’t forget when you register for parkrun you can add NHSC25K as your affiliated club if you would like to. You can also add it post registration by updating your parkrun profile.

My own Christmas eve parkrun will be my first run in Rfc’s virtual Christmas run too, perfect! πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Happy running everyone and hope everyone has a happy, healthy Christmas and beyond!

  • There is no Parkrun in Germany😰 I might be able to get out for a "normal" run though. Don't include me officially, as our Christmas Eve plans are not yet thought through yet and I can see myself not finding the time (what with last minute shopping and up to about 15 people descending on as early afternoon). But will definitely be thinking of you all!

  • No problem JaySeeSkinny if you do run, let us know and we will include you in our stats

  • I'm having real mulled wine and mince pies, anyone else doing Rushmoor (Aldershot) welcome to join in !

  • I will be doing a fancy dress Parkrun at Walsall on Christmas Eve.

  • I will be doing my own "Parkrun" Xmas run in Esperance Western Australia. Everyone is welcome to join me. It will be early morning before the flies beat me to it. Probably around 5am. I will make a sign on my Tshirt "C25K" . Really looking forward to read all the reports.
