It was sunny and decidedly not cold when I left the house and now it is very decidedly Not either of those things.
On Monday I discovered on of the other canicross beginner people lives just down the road from me, and somehow - betwen us - we managed to invite a few of the others to run at our end of town this Sunday. He suggested a route but only had it as a Satellite pic, so me trying to run it this morning witbout him was a bit hit and miss.
Long story short, I really found myself struggling - mentally and physically - when I was 5 minutes from the end. I did keep going, though speeding up in that last minute was totally beyond me!
Time for a hot drink methinks.

Pretty sure my knees and ankles need a bit of a break anyway. 😉
Well done you're getting there. That brought back memories when you mentioned Laura suggesting you try to speed up for the last minute. I never had anything left in the tank for the last minute even now.
Saying that though you will definitely find it gets easier. Today my run up the hill home wasn't such a struggle as last run . Week by week although at last part of runs finding that I am slowing down it is getting easier. Run on Sunday was more "mind over matter" to push on. Today I never had any doubts or gremilins that I would finish.
