Effect of C25k+ etc

No chance to run today and I won't be able to tomorrow either so I was determined to get one in yesterday even though it was a bit of a rush. As I knew it would be shorter than usual so I thought I'd see if I could push myself a bit more - seems like regular running, stepping stones and running club have made a difference because garmin says I did 3km with an average of 160 steps per minute and average pace 7.4min/km which is an improvement too for me, even if not very fast. I find runs where it is dark and I can't go off road are a good time for thinking about that sort of thing - in daylight I am too busy looking at everything around me.

Well done it's good to notch up any improvement. Sometimes I do a shorter run say 4K or 5K instead of my current 6K+. When think about comparing to where started we were all thinking and sometimes dreading running further and longer.

As you say all the hard work you've put in makes you confident that you can plan to run a bit less knowing that you can do more in the future. Good that you were determined to fit a run in to your plan . I now squeeze a 4K run into work early in morning on Fridays now to get my 3 runs a week in ! Have found from experience it definitely makes a difference compared when some weeks could only do 2.

Oh it's being a right Royal pain to be honest. Thank you for asking! I don't think that I shall be running this side of Christmas 😕

Oh no, what a nuisance. We'll have to have some Christmas sing-songs for the virtual choir with you conducting so there is something special to tide you over till you can run again.
