Had to take husband to work on the other side of the county, so decided to stop off on the way back and run somewhere I've not been before. Ever.
Found the place, but totally missed the car park - twice - in the dark. Parked on the verge instead. Started the app, and set off on my walk, up a slight incline and into the woods. All well and good. Still all hunky dory as I start jogging. Ten minutes pass, it's almost daylight now and I'm totally absorbed watching the trail to make sure I don't trip over a tree root when Sarah Millican's voice chirps up to tell me I can walk for a bit now-- That's right folks, I was on the wrong day!
I panicked a bit and didn't pay attention to how long the walk was, but I did keep on running- through the 'walk', through the next 10 minute run and then for roughly a minute longer. Figured it out after and it should have been an extra two minutes, but I'm totally counting it as W6: R3 done as I then had to walk back to my car.

Yep, sounds like W6R3 to me. Tech can be such a pain!
Well done. Running in dark and unfamiliar area can be tricky. Just getting used to my regular 4K ish early run to work on Fridays now. Route goes through 3 small parks or recreation grounds in the dark.
Luckily well paved without any obstacles until they decided to dig up one pavement now left gravelly with drain covers sticking up. Roadworks are well signposted. With pedestrians it's "Every man for himself" !
At least you had Sarah Millican to keep you company !
Yep, count it and move on! W7R1 is the same run as W6R3 anyway so you are effectively where you should be. Well done for not getting lost and finding your way back! That sounds like the real challenge of the day!
I always run with Map my Fitness on and use it to help me navigate; I am useless at retracing my steps (the dog is better than me at finding where we left the car ☺).
