4am with a bit of Déjà vu thrown in for W8 R1.

W8 R1 the run I did by mistake in Blackpool last week.

This time it was a bit tougher as Portland is anything but flat, once your off sea level.

The run was fantastic there was a cold blow, when I was going along the harbour but it was certainly fun, the route is well lit so any puddles I can gauge the depth so I don't drown my feet. Then again, dressed like a frogman with a couple of wires protruding from my ears, wet feet wouldn't look amiss.

I didn't anticipate seeing a fox standing next to a jetty at that ungodly hour. Then again, seeing a 6' amphibian in a hi-vis jacket bouncing along the the side of the harbour is not what a Fox would class as normal.

The second half of my route is uphill all the way, I was pleased with my breathing and over the moon with my recovery time at the end. "Thanks" Laura.

I hope everyone has had a good run and a great day.

Well done Wanawig. I did my w8r1 this evening and really enjoyed it. I thought about going further and not bothering about the 28mins, but thought better of it.

Good luck with R2

Well done to you as well Midspur.

If like me your next run is on Saturday, daylight will make the run easier, as there are a lot more visual distractions. Maybe going a bit further on R2, I will try a little more distance as well.

All the best for W8 R2
