Thought I'd do w8 r1 and r2 in consecutive days. had to run for the train this morning and my knees are sore and my lower back muscles are super tight 😕 silly me. few days of and start again Monday I think. finding the run good and enjoyable though. and managing to get to the end pushing for the last few minutes.

You may find it is better for you physically to have a day rest in between. The idea is that muscles need a day to repair and get stronger. I understand it is the way to improve surely.

It works for me.

I actually find if I have 2 days off I can then do a much longer run. It is like the 2 days gave me a stronger muscle "coating". It is magic.

You don't have to push at all. You can save that for later down the line when you are fitter and stronger.

For now go very steadily through the runs, the slower the better really as you want to remain injury free so you can sail through the programme without getting hurt

An extra day's rest will be fine. However, if we get a lovely day and you feel up for it then why not give your legs a spin. See how it goes.

Have fun!
